Looking after the environment

These days we are all increasingly aware of the impact that our lives have on the environment around us.

We’re careful to ensure that our services have as little negative impact on the environment as possible. All timber used in the construction of our coffins comes from renewable sources. Other materials used are specifically designed to be easily biodegradable or, in the case of cremation, combustible.

For cremation, all materials used conform with the relevant emissions regulations laid down by the government and we will advise you of any items that are not suitable to be placed in the coffin with the deceased.

As an alternative to timber coffins, we offer others made from cardboard, willow or bamboo. These are all constructed to the same high standards you would expect of all our coffins, and come from specialist suppliers, who work carefully to ensure the sustainability of their materials.

We offer woodland burials at Chiltern Woodland Park, Beaconsfield and Aylesbury Vale Burial Meadow or locally we can supply a horse-drawn hearse to carry the coffin to its final rest in one of the Dacorum cemeteries or churchyards.
